The current Flex2K series of external correlators consists of a small box. The connection to a host computer is a high speed universal serial bus (USB) cable. Almost all recent personal computers, including desktop and notebook, come with USB ports. The correlator accepts TTL pulses via the BNC connectors. The correlation data is transfered from the correlator to the host PC periodically via the USB cable. Flex2K series correlator is powered entirely by USB cable so it requires no external power supply.
